Summer Data Science Fellowship Opportunity - begins 6/1/15

University of California hires four viticulture advisors

Four new viticulture farm advisors were hired in the past year by the University of California to serve in San Joaquin Valley Extension office positions. These farm advisors cover the vast wine, table and raisin grape growing region that includes the counties of Kern, Kings, Tulare, Fresno, Madera, Merced and Mariposa.

UC Davis Viticulture and Enology On-the-road in Salinas

The Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis is going "On the Road" to Salinas, CA, bringing some of the latest grape and wine research to other regions around California. 
These programs are geared toward wine and winegrape industry professionals. The topics presented in Salinas are mainly viticulture-focused, with one enology-focused presentation titled "Understanding cap extraction in red wine fermentations". We will also introduce our newest faculty member.
