Course Profile: VEN 170, Wine Regulations

This one-credit course covers regulations in the wine industry, including regulation at the local, state, and federal levels. We cover this material with the help of outside speakers in a seminar style. Topics that are covered include regulation by the Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FDA/FSMA), as it applies to grapes and wine.

Department Seminar Series - May 18, 2022

You are invited to attend the Food Science department seminar on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at 4:10 PM PDT. For the remainder of this quarter, the first year Food Science graduate students will present their research. This is a great way to see what is going on in other labs.
