Our Oakville Experimental Vineyard Grape Day was held on June 1, 2016 and had two themes: Pest Management and Applied Water Amounts.

V&E Extension held a seminar and field day at the UC Davis campus called "Current Developments in Vineyard Mechanization and Precision Viticulture" on April 22, 2016. Some of the underlying themes included labor issues and the looming increases in California's minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2022.

On March 29, folks from V&E were On-the-Road in Sonoma at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.

On April 5, we were "On the Road" in Mendocino County at the Hopland Research and Extension Center.

On April 11, we were On the Road in Modesto in Harvest Hall at the Stanislaus County Ag Center.

Three on-campus Extension Programs were held between January and March. The January 13 program was dedicated to a review of the role of microbes in wine quality. Optimizing sustainability of wine processing was the topic of the February 19th program and the March 18th program focused on blending.
