The Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of California, Davis invites applications for a lecturer position to teach FST3 – Introduction to Brewing and Beer during the Fall 2019 Quarter. See http://foodscience.ucdavis.edu/
for course descriptions. Qualified candidates will have a PhD degree in food science or a related field. Qualified candidates will also have experience teaching brewing topics or will have a strategy for promoting teaching excellence. The ability to connect course concepts to experience in the brewing industry or an academic brewing science research program is highly desired.
The position of Specialist has a narrow focus in a specialized area and provides food processing expertise and manage access for users of the Milk Processing Laboratory at the Robert Mondavi Institute for wine and food science. The Specialist stays apprised of emerging issues and problems and maintains technical competence in the in the designated area(s) of specialization.
