Upcoming Extension Events for the Department of Viticulture and Enology

While harvest is a busy time of year for viticulturists and winemakers/enologists, it is also a busy time for the extension coordination committee in the Department of Viticulture and Enology.  We are busy planning and organizing educational extension programs for the coming year.  The first On Campus program in the fall will honor Roger Boulton, a long-time viticulture and enology (and chemical engineering) professor, who retired in June 2019.  Because of several COVID surges, we have postponed this program more times than we’d like to admit, so we are very excited that it is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2022. We are in the process of bringing together a great mix of speakers and panelists to share their perspectives on the theme of the day, “The winery of the future.”  For more detailed information and to register, click here.  Also in November, we’ll be headed to Shasta County for an in-person, On the Road program that also has been postponed more than once due to COVID.

We are also in the process of planning a few episodes of “Office Hours with Dave and Anita,” so if you have any topics you’d like us to cover, please let us know!

Here is the upcoming, in-person schedule through March 2023:
