Congratulations to Zhuo Chen, Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Luxin Wang's lab, who has been selected along with six others to be in the Center for Produce Safety's Professional Development Program for 2026.  

The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) congratulates the recipients selected for the 2026 Professional Development Program Awards. On behalf of the CPS Board of Directors, Vice Chair Charles Leftwich (Sysco Corporation) recognizes these emerging professionals for their commitment to produce safety, scientific excellence, and future industry leadership.

“The future of produce safety depends on supporting talented individuals who are committed to scientific excellence and industry engagement,” said Leftwich. “We are proud to welcome this year’s recipients to the CPS Research Symposium in Nashville.”

The CPS Professional Development Program is designed to help participants strengthen professional skills, expand industry connections, and engage with leaders across the produce safety community.

The Professional Development Program recipients will participate in the CPS Research Symposium, to be held June 16-17, 2026 in Nashville, TN.
