UC Davis to lead research on keeping pathogens out of produce

The University of California Davis recently won a grant to eliminate the problem of cross-contamination in fresh produce. UC Davis will be the lead institution with Rutgers University and Drexel University for the $4.8 million grant over five years. The UC Davis team will be led by Nitin Nitin, an associate professor in the departments of food science and technology and also in biological and agricultural engineering.
