Dr. Preston Maring connects food to health, the environment, safety for farm workers and what is possible to do on a budget with a few simple skills. This presentation directly ties into the National Food Day movement celebrated at the end of October. Dr. Maring will demonstrate his easy food preparation and knife techniques preparing a black bean salad and the famous cherry tomatoes trick!
Instructor:
Dr. Preston Maring is a Kaiser Permanente physician and surgeon with 36 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, and an administrator who helped start an innovative neurosurgery unit for children. Hes also a skilled cook with a passion for food.
Presented as part of the WorkLife and Wellness Brown Bag Series. Pre-enrollment is not required.
