Congratulations to Zhuosheng Liu, a Ph.D. candidate in Dr. Luxin Wang’s Lab, for wining the first place in the student poster competition hosted by the Northern California section of the Institute of Food Technologists (NCIFT) on April 25th 2023.

Zhuosheng’s winning poster was titled “Fitness and transcriptomic analysis of pathogenic Vibrio parahaemolyticus survived at different oyster harvesting temperatures”. The project focused on better understanding the cellular responses of pathogenic Vibrio in pre-harvest environment and results generated provide science-based information for the development of control strategies for both pre- and post-harvest stages.
