Dr. Ned Spang wins a 2018 Eleanor and Harry Walker Academic Advising Award

Assistant Professor Ned Spang has been selected as the faculty advisor recipient of the 2018 Eleanor and Harry Walker Academic Advising Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions to Academic Advising in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

The selection committee was especially impressed with Dr. Spang's strong commitment to student mentoring and his efforts to create new opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborations among students, faculty, and staff. Through his encouragement students have been able to build innovative networks with industry collaborators.

The award will be presented at the Celebration of Advising Reception on May 3 from 3:30- 5:00pm.

Other recipients of the 2018 Eleanor and Harry Walker Academic Advising Awards were Danielle Huddlestun (staff award) and Thalia Badger (peer advisor award).
